Who we are

Sejal's Property ("the app") is a property-management tool for PG, hostel and flat owners in India, available on Android, iOS and at sejalsproperty.com. Data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in Mumbai, India (asia-south1).

What we collect and why

  • Phone number — used to sign you in (OTP) and to link tenants and staff to the right property. We never send marketing SMS.
  • Name and profile details — shown to the people you share a property with (your owner, your tenants, your staff).
  • Property and tenancy records — rooms, rents, bills, payments, meter readings, complaints and announcements that owners and tenants create in the app. This is the product; we store it so you can use it.
  • ID documents (Aadhaar, PAN, etc., if an owner uploads them) — visible only to the property owner who uploaded them and to the tenant they belong to. Never to other tenants, never to other properties, never sold or shared. Document numbers are masked in the interface.
  • Device push token — so we can deliver rent reminders and updates. Removed when you sign out.
  • Crash and basic usage data (Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics) — to find and fix bugs. No advertising identifiers, no ad networks.

What we never do

  • No selling or renting of your data to anyone.
  • No advertising and no ad-tracking SDKs.
  • No reading of your payments — UPI payments go directly from the tenant's UPI app to the owner's UPI ID; we only record what you tell us.

Retention

Records stay as long as the owner's account is active, because rent history is a legal and financial record for the owner. Vacated tenants' histories remain visible to the property owner. When an account is deleted (below), the associated data is deleted permanently within 30 days, including storage files and backups.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account without installing anything at sejalsproperty.com/delete-account (also available in the app under Settings).

  • Tenant accounts: your sign-in, profile and device tokens are deleted and your account is unlinked. The rent ledger the owner keeps about their property is the owner's business record and remains with the owner.
  • Owner accounts: requires typed confirmation, because it permanently deletes every property you own — tenants, bills, payments, documents, photos, everything. This cannot be undone.
